We strongly recommend that you book your flight soon after you book your trip with us. Booking flights early can score considerable savings.
The international airport is located in Colombo, Sri Lanka
Flights from Australia to Sri Lanka usually transit through Singapore, Thailand or Malaysia. There is also a direct flight from Melbourne to Sri Lanka.
All travellers, with the exception of citizens of Singapore, Seychelles and the Maldives need a visa/ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) for travel to Sri Lanka.
The official government site to get your visa is here. Visas cost USD 35 per person. On-arrival visas get charged an additional U$ 5.
Visas/ETAs are generally valid for 30 days and can be extended for up to 6 months.

We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical expenses, emergency repatriation, personal accident, death, personal liability and trip cancellation. It is also recommended to consider cover against loss of luggage and personal effects.
Please seek advice from your local General Practitioner in terms of appropriate vaccinations for travel to Sri Lanka.
